Big Reds Almost Out!
Our 2014 Montepulciano Riserva will be sold out before the end of June. This North Carolina Fine Wine Society Best in Show winner received an 89 point score from Italian wine writer, James Suckling, formerly of Wine Spectator. James calls it "A medium fruity wine with firm tannins and a juicy undertone. Tangy acidity and a clean finish. Has the earthy, fruity character of Montepulciano." The 2014 Montepulciano Riserva will sell out approximately six weeks prior to the release of the 2015 Montepulciano Riserva.
Help us celebrate the next ambassador of the Pino Vino IX Wine Label Competition and support local animal shelters by purchasing this newly-labeled wine. Join Owner and Winemaker Jay Raffaldini as he introduces the winner, then "pet the pooch" to raise funds for all rescue animals.
Sunday, June 18: Father's Day Brunch
Celebrate tuo padre with a buffet brunch overlooking Raffaldini Vineyards! Bring the entire family and your camera for a one-of-a-kind photo surrounded by our breathtaking rolling vineyards. Enjoy a casual game of bocce or relax with some live music from Justin Nelson. Reservations include buffet brunch, two glasses of Raffaldini wine, and a Riedel crystal wine glass.
This is the next best thing to a trip to Tuscany! Dine al fresco family-style among the vines while serenaded by soprano Irene King, singing some of her favorite Italian songs.
Saturday, August 12: Four Seasons Summer Wine Tasting Dinner
Each dinner features four seasonal food courses and four specially-chosen wines to complement the food. Culinary and wine descriptions will be given during the evening to enhance your enjoyment. Share your food and wine passion with new friends in a relaxed and casual atmosphere, la dolce vita!
Friday, September 8: Vine To Wine, an Intimate Harvest Experience
It's picking time! Be a part of the winemaking process at Raffaldini Vineyards. You'll taste wines that are currently in production with our winemaking team and enjoy a traditional harvest wine dinner. Work side by side with owner and winemaker Jay Raffaldini, and the rest of the team during this exclusive experience.
We are excited to renew our commitment with Blue Ridge Boxer Rescue's annual Woofstock festival. Blue Ridge Boxer Rescue is dedicated to improving animal welfare, fostering a humane community, and building positive bonds between people and animals that last a lifetime.
The NC Department of Transportation has begun the process of paving Groce Road. We gave them access to our recently purchased land adjacent to Groce Road so they can reshape the approach to Raffaldini with more sweeping and elegant contours. It will be beautiful when it is completed later this year.
