Harvest season is upon us and there is much work to be done. We need your help!

 Join us at the 2009 Bella Blending Trials! Each session is a two hour educational wine experience led by Mr. Raffaldini in the Barrel Room! Last year's trials yielded the 2007 Bella Misto and 2007 SPQR. Both wines went on to win gold medals at the Lodi International Wine Competition in Lodi California!

Our reds are ready for blending and we need you to help us determine the blend for the 2008 Raffaldini Bella Misto. Each blend you create will be carefully analyzed, sampled and considered by our winery staff.

Blending wine is a demanding job requiring patience, knowledge and skill. Join Jay Raffaldini as he guides you through an informative and educational winemaking experience.

This is an opportunity to test your winemaking ability, learn more about the grapes that go into wine and make a few friends in the process. Blending trials will be held in our barrel room, allowing you to see and experience the new winery at Raffaldini during the harvest season. 

How to Prepare:

Although the best time to taste wine is in the morning when your palate is fresh, it is rarely practical. Therefore, we recommend that you refrain from consuming strong foods, coffee and tobacco products prior to blending.  It is also recommended that perfumes and colognes be avoided since they can distract attention from a wine’s aroma profile.
